Gratitude practice seems to be having its moment these days, and I hope the trend lasts. Turning gratitude into a habit might be one of the best things you can do for yourself to lift your mood, be mindful of the present (and what’s good about the present moment) and change your outlook. Write down three things a day that have gone well for you, that you can be happy about, that you are thankful for… Do it while you are brushing your teeth, on the subway or drinking your morning coffee. Just make it a routine. I can almost guarantee that if you do this regularly, you will see changes in your spirit. Suddenly you will be thinking of more than three things a day to be grateful for as the more mindful you become of what you have, the MORE you actually have.
In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, here are a few quotes to keep gratitude on your mind and in your heart. Happy Thanksgiving!
